Frequently asked

How do alerts work?

Heliosinger checks NOAA on a regular schedule and sends a push when an alert event you enabled crosses its scientific threshold. Core alert events and their on/off switches are free. Heliosinger+ can filter aurora alerts for a rounded latitude or chosen region.

I'm not getting alerts. What's wrong?

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

How do I cancel or refund?

Heliosinger+ is a one-time purchase, so there is no subscription to cancel. For an Apple purchase, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Google Play purchase, use Google Play's refund process. The store decides and processes refunds.

How do I delete my installation data?

Heliosinger does not create a user account. Turning off Storm alerts asks the backend to remove the current device registration. Deleting the app prevents future app uploads but does not automatically remove all records already received. For deletion of server records associated with an installation, email [email protected]. We will explain what can be matched and deleted and what must be retained for transaction, security, or legal reasons. See the Privacy Policy for current retention details.

Why is the audio quiet on speaker?

The binaural carrier is intentionally attenuated when you're on the built-in speaker. Binaural beats only work over headphones or earbuds — playing them out a single speaker is just noise. Plug in headphones for the full experience.

Why does iPhone playback pause in the background?

Free 15- and 30-minute iPhone sessions can play with the screen off. Heliosinger+ removes the time limit; enable Unlimited background audio in the app's Settings tab. Phone calls, another audio app taking over, and unplugging headphones can still pause playback by design. Android background-playback controls differ by build; include the app version in a support email if they are not available.

The visuals look choppy.

On iPhone, the solar visualization uses Metal and can fall back to a simpler SwiftUI version on older devices. If you see frame drops, send the device model, OS version, app version, and the screen where it happens.
