These terms apply to the Heliosinger iPhone and Android apps. Use of the iPhone app is also subject to Apple's standard end-user license agreement. Use of the Android app and Google Play services is also subject to the applicable Google Play terms. If a platform term and these terms conflict on a matter controlled by that platform, the platform term controls to that extent.
Heliosinger+ is a one-time, non-consumable in-app product, not a subscription. The app store for your platform handles the transaction and ties the purchase to the store account that made it. Heliosinger does not receive your payment-card details.
The Heliosinger website at heliosinger.com is provided as-is for informational and recreational use. Audio, sonification mappings, and visualizations are illustrative — they are not a substitute for an authoritative space-weather forecast. For operational decisions consult NOAA SWPC directly at swpc.noaa.gov.
Live data is sourced from public NOAA APIs. See Credits. NOAA data is provided "as-is" without warranty.
Space-weather feeds, background execution, network access, and Apple or Google push services can be delayed or unavailable. Alerts are informational and are not guaranteed to arrive. Optional iPhone location access is used only for the coarse aurora-alert behavior described in the Privacy Policy; Android does not currently request location. You can use Heliosinger without treating an alert or audio cue as an authoritative forecast.
Do not redistribute the app, interfere with the service, bypass purchase or security controls, scrape the backend in a way that degrades it, or attempt to exhaust the alert dispatcher. Heliosinger rate-limits and deduplicates requests.
The iPhone app can create a local video from Heliosinger's visuals and generated audio for you to save or share. You choose the destination. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for any additional material you combine with it and for following the destination service's terms.
Shannon Labs provides Heliosinger "as-is" with no warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for missed aurora viewings, scheduling decisions made on the basis of audio cues, or any other indirect consequence of using the app.
